According to WOOD, the jury at Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph found 22-year-old Sgt. Kemia Hassel guilty of the first-degree premeditated murder of her husband Sgt. Tyrone Hassel III. She will be sentenced at the end of August and faces life behind bars without parole. Hassel, who had a one-year-old child with her husband, conspired to murder him with her boyfriend Jeremy Cuellar, 24. All three were stationed together at Fort Worth, Georgia....

The Trump campaign’s official Twitter account took a video of the 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk’s hurdling touchdown from “Sunday Night Football” and superimposed Trump’s face where Aiyuk’s helmet would be. On the Eagles defender who was hurdled, they overlaid a picture of the coronavirus. Twitter took down the video because of a copyright claim, although the original tweet still exists. The young girl, who will remain unidentified because she is a sexual assault victim, told WTVZ she wants to share her story to try and raise awareness and help other victims. The story is difficult for her to tell. Two 13-year-old boys she thought were her friends held her down in a home as they raped her and filmed the attack. Then legally, they got away with it. Like many victims of assault, she did not want to tell anyone at first because she worried people wouldn’t believe her story....

The deputies were in a romantic relationship and their bodies were found at a vacation rental home they were staying at with fellow officers. The shooting occurred on Saturday at the 5300 block of A1A South. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release about the incident the following day. “We have learned that the deputies involved, who were in a romantic relationship, were heard arguing in a bedroom by fellow deputies on vacation with them just prior to the sound of gunshots,” the statement said....
The ABC/Ipsos poll, which surveyed 524 adults on December 10 and 11, found Biden’s job approval rating lagging on a number of major issues, including gun violence, crime and the economic recovery. The survey found more than two-thirds of respondents—69 percent—disapprove of how Biden is handling inflation, which has risen to the highest level in almost 40 years.
