Police Commissioner Dermot Shea earlier said, according to The Associated Press, that the first attack occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the South Bronx on Saturday. The two uniformed officers were stationed in the area due to recent outbreaks of gun violence, according to Shea. Police identified the officers as Edelmiro Garza, 35, and Ismael Chavez, 39. Garza and Chavez were responding to a domestic disturbance call, and were allegedly shot by Audon Ignacio Camarillo, 23. Camarillo shot himself when officers arrived on the scene and ordered him to surrender. “They were doing their job,” McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez told The McAllen Monitor. “That is what they were supposed to do. Tyler Turner, 18, of Los Banos, died along with skydiving instructor, Yong Kwon, who he was jumping in tandem with in 2016. The men plummeted 13,000 feet to the ground after the instructor was unable to get their parachutes to open. This week Turner’s family were awarded a $40 million judgment against the owner of the skydiving school involved. Paris - Two Armenian referees admitted a match-fixing charge by the UEFA and were suspended. Andranik Arsenyan and Hovhannes Avagyan Wednesday confessed to the Armenian Football Federation (HFF) for trying to fix the second leg of the first qualifying round match between Inter Turku of Finland and Vikingur of the Faroes July 11, reports Xinhua.
