NHL players have been cooped up just like the rest of us, and that means they too have gotten to spend some quality time with their canine companions. Fans often only get to see brief glimpses of our favorite hockey pups because players are on the road for much of the season, but in the past few weeks, there has been a flurry of dog pictures posted to social media.

With that in mind, here are some of the best NHL dogs currently chilling at home with their owners:

Lenard (Lenny) McDavid

Starting things off with a bang, we have Edmonton Oilers’ superstar Connor McDavid’s miniature Bernedoodle, Lenny. He’s half Bernese mountain dog, half poodle and 100 percent adorable. He’s a bit of an athlete of his own, as evidenced by his stellar toiler paper-hurdling skills, and he has even been helping McDavid stay in shape during the quarantine.

Halle Wilson

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson recently adopted Halle, a 14-week old black lab mix. She was part of a rescue family and ended up at a shelter in Northern Virginia, where Wilson and his girlfriend adopted her. She now has her own Instagram page, where her bio says she loves pine cones and digging holes.

Coolie and Milo Boeser

Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks has been self-quarantining with his two dogs, Coolie and Milo. He’s had Coolie, an Australian Cattle mix, since All-Star Weekend 2018, but he adopted Milo about a month ago shortly after the NHL season was put on hold. He’s now a got a full house to keep him company during the season pause.

Riziy Panarin

Riziy, Artemi Panarin’s Jack Russell terrier, originally belonged to the New York Rangers winger’s girlfriend, Alisa Znarok. He earned the distinction of winning the Best Dog award in the NHL Fan Choice Awards last year and now has over 20,000 followers on his Instagram page. It might have something to do with his remarkable hockey skills.

Kelly, Nicky and Macy Vlasic

San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic has a trio of pups to call his own. All three of them are rescue dogs, and they were nominated as a collective for the aforementioned Best Dog award in the NHL Fan Choice Awards. They also absolutely killed it on Halloween a couple of years ago.

Simba and Lola Slavin

Hurricanes blueliner Jaccob Slavin is the proud father of two Goldendoodles, Simba and Lola. Their Instagram page, @twofloofydoodles, documents their adventures around Raleigh, N.C, and, according to their bio, chasing squirrels is their favorite activity. They’re clearly also fond of playing with Slavin’s daughter, Emersyn.

Ralph and Burt DeBrincat

Blackhawks winger Alex DeBrincat has been posting pictures of his Shiba Inu, Ralph (also known as DeBrindog) for a couple of years. Shortly after the quarantine started, he added a new member of the family when he brought back Burt. Ralph’s Instagram account has now been rebranded as @debrindogs, and the two have been bonding during the quarantine.

Peeko Couture

Logan Couture’s dog, Peeko, is yet to become Instagram famous like some of the other dogs on this list, but that could soon change. Peeko is a Maltipoo, half Maltese and half miniature poodle, and enjoys playing with his stuffed banana. You can find him on Instagram at @peekothepup.

Beckham and Leo Murray

Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Matt Murray is the owner of two absolutely massive Newfoundlands named Beckham and Leo. Their Instagram, @beckhamandleothenewfs, says the pair enjoys watching hockey and going on truck rides.

Thor Acciari

Finally, we have Florida Panthers forward Noel Acciari’s golden retriever, Thor. As evidenced by his Instagram, @_thor_dogofthunder, the pup has a wide range of bandanas, including one that’s Panthers-themed. This one hints at another addition to the Acciari family sometime in the near future. Hopefully another dog?
