Denver guard Ty Lawson posted a video to his Instagram on Saturday revealing one of Shaw’s techniques — rapping the pregame scouting report.

While it’s difficult to decipher exactly what hot fire Shaw was spitting, there appears to be some dope rhymes about guarding Paul Pierce and hitting the boards.

After Shaw was fired in early March, multiple reports indicated Shaw and Lawson clashed regularly and had tense moments in the locker room. Lawson has clearly been holding on to this video for quite a while, and posting it now with a caption saying “Fun times not gonna lie” seems a bit odd.
Hopefully Shaw left a Jay-Z influenced note for interim coach Melvin Hunt saying “If you having motivation problems, you won’t get to Lawson, I got 99 problems but Nurkic ain’t one.”
